Having completed SmartLipo Liposuction procedures on over 700 individual patients, and having treated hundreds of other patients in a widely varied list of cosmetic procedures, Dr. Melanie Carreon has developed her own particular approach for achieving effective results and emphasizing patient comfort. The common denominator, whether Dr. Carreon is performing a liposuction procedure or a breast augmentation, is that the patient will receive a local anesthetic only, helping to ensure patient comfort, patient participation, and patient satisfaction, with significantly lower costs when compared to the traditional methods used for cosmetic surgery and procedures.

Dr. Carreon completed her postgraduate training in University of Texas Medical Branch, and became board certified in Family Medicine. Throughout her years doing aesthetic procedures, she educates and assist patients in understanding how advances in minimally invasive surgical techniques could provide them, by using only local anesthesia, with safer and more reliable options to traditional surgery. She continually expands her knowledge base, by attending aesthetic conferences and advanced training seminars on procedures using only local anesthesia, without the risks of general anesthesia.

In May 2004, Dr. Carreon founded Laser Cosmetic Solutions in Seguin, Texas, and now devotes her full-time efforts, performing procedures all under local anesthesia. She has developed a reputation for having an outstanding bedside manner, and treating all of her patients with care and compassion. Dr. Carreon stands by her belief that all of her patients should be "treated as if they are family“. She has been performing Liposuction using the Tumescent Technique since 2005. Women's bodies are vastly different from each other. There is no automatically correct answer to what may be the best choice for anyone. Melanie Carreon, M.D., has performed a great variety of lipo procedures on over 700 different patients.
