Feminine Rejuvenation with the O-Shot

Vaginal tissue can become loose and less sensitive after giving birth or due to the natural aging process, leading to less sexual pleasure and increased medical issues for women. A solution for a decreased sexual desire, vaginal dryness, lax skin, or incontinence is the innovative O-Shot or Orgasm Shot. The O-Shot utilizes platelet-rich plasma (PRP) created from an individual's blood as a way to help stimulate sensitivity to the upper vagina and clitoral areas. At LCS Medical Spa, Dr. Melanie Carreon offers O-Shot treatments for women in the Seguin, New Braunfels, Austin, San Marcos, and San Antonio, TX areas who are looking to increase stimulation and sexual pleasure. Learn more about this advanced treatment option by contacting our facility to schedule your initial consultation.

Who Can Benefit from the O-Shot?

There are a number of reasons that a woman may benefit from an O-Shot procedure, including to correct the following:

  • Aging or wrinkled skin of the vulva (lips of the vagina)
  • A lower sex drive (libido)
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Difficulty reaching climax during sex
  • Decreased or no arousal from stimulation of the clitoris
  • Vaginal skin laxity
  • Discomfort and pain during intercourse
  • Discomfort and pain from scars due to episiotomy
  • Urinary incontinence

What is the O-Shot Process?

The entire O-Shot procedure takes about 20 minutes to complete. You will lie comfortably in one of our spacious treatment rooms and an amount of blood will be drawn from your arm. Next, this blood is placed in a special centrifuge, which will separate the platelets from the other elements. Once the platelet-rich plasma is complete, the vaginal area will be numbed with a local anesthetic. The O-Shot injections will be placed in the upper vaginal and clitoral areas. Based on the patient's goals and any particular concerns, it may be recommended to combine the O-Shot with an additional radiofrequency (RF) treatment.

What To Expect After your o-Shot

Following your O-Shot procedure, you will be able to return to your normal everyday activities. A member of our team will talk with you about recommendations for how long to avoid certain activities, such as exercising and intercourse to allow time to heal. You may notice some slight swelling or mild bruising for the first couple of days, but it will subside over time. Results may take a few weeks to become noticeable while vaginal tissue regenerates and heals, and optimal results should be seen within three months. Your optimal outcome can typically last for about 1 – 3 years, and a member of our team can talk with you about follow-up appointments as a way to maintain your results.
