Hello, my name is Dr. Melanie Carreon. I truly love and enjoy performing liposuction under local anesthesia for over 19 years, and the reason why I only focus and only perform liposuction surgical procedure in my practice. There is no substitution for removing as many fat cells permanently, with the most dramatic results, than a liposuction procedure.

Having performed over 5,000 liposuction procedures with over 19 years of experience all under local anesthesia, I humbly feel that experience matters.

Process starts with application of local anesthesia on localized areas, then laser application process begins to all applicable areas to melt fat and skin tightening, then suctioning all melted fat with Microaire’s power-assisted liposuction technology, then going back once again to necessary areas that need additional laser skin tightening by stimulating collagen formation. As you can tell, the skill process that I’ve learned and improved over 24 years of experience is a skill-set that is taught, learned and acquired by performing over 5,000 procedures. It takes time to acquire and learn new techniques needed to perform liposuction with better results and higher degree of safety, in my humble opinion.

I combine Liposuction with Smartlipo laser. Some, may only do just liposuction by itself without using any laser technology, or charge extra for additional laser or other device, but I do not. Because, from experience and by using Smartlipo laser for over 17 years, the tissue around the area tightens through coagulation, contributing to an overall smoother shape. Again, experience matters.

Your safety during liposuction is our priority, this is the reason why we have been accredited by AAAHC for over 10 years. That means that our outpatient surgical center participates in an on-going self evaluation, peer review and education to always improve the way we provide care and services. We are committed to a thorough, on-site survey by AAAHC surveyors, who are themselves health care professionals, at least every three years. This is what sets us apart, and our promise and commitment to deliver safer and quality care!

So, please always consider the number of years of liposuction experience under local anesthesia, the number of liposuction surgeries performed, and if the medical facility is an accredited AAAHC outpatient surgical center.
